01 Is Vali really one system?
Yes. Accounting, manufacturing, stock, invoicing and contacts share one system and one login, so a quote becomes a job card, a job card fills the stock, and the stock feeds the invoice without anything typed twice.
02 Is it only for manufacturers?
No. Manufacturers get the most from it, because the job cards, bills of materials and stock are built in. Trades, wholesalers, contractors and service businesses use the same accounting, email and projects without the manufacturing side.
03 Can I move over from Sage, Xero or Excel?
Yes. You load your customers, suppliers, products and stock, capture what each customer owes you and what you owe each supplier, and carry on from there. Bank statements are imported from your bank's download. Book a demo and we'll talk through your move.
04 What is not included?
Payroll and live bank feeds. Run payroll in your payroll system and post the totals as a journal. Bank statements are imported from the file your bank gives you, for FNB, ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec.
05 Is the monthly price the whole cost?
Not for a larger company. Setup, data import and training are quoted once per company, and custom development and support contracts are quoted on request or covered by an additional monthly retainer. Your account manager gives you the full quote before you start.
06 Is there a limit on users?
No. One price covers the company, and you add as many people as you need at no extra cost.
07 Do you handle South African VAT and tax?
Yes. New companies start with an SA tax preset, and VAT flows through invoices, bills and reports.
08 What can Vali's AI do?
If you connect your own OpenAI or Claude account, Vali's assistant answers questions about your books in plain English, reads receipts and supplier invoices from a photo into a draft bill, drafts procedures in the wiki and builds training courses. You pay the AI provider directly for what you use.
09 Is my data backed up, secure and reliable?
Yes. Data is encrypted, regularly backed up and hosted in South Africa. We target 99.99% uptime.
10 Can Vali connect to other systems?
Vali offers API access for integrating with other tools. Tell us what you'd like to connect on the feature request page.
11 Is my data kept separate and POPIA-compliant?
Your information is kept separate from every other business on Vali, never mixed in a shared pool. POPIA-aware and hosted in South Africa.
12 What if Vali is missing something my business needs?
Ask for it. New features ship every week, many of them asked for by customers. Request a feature and we'll come back to you.
13 What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
You choose a plan and carry on with everything you captured. If you don't, the company is locked, not deleted, so nothing is lost if you come back.
